* The "Pinelands" Story

Pinelands is structured around five biblical purposes based on two verses from the Bible.

"...'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul

and with all your mind.' (WORSHIP)

This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like it, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (MINISTRY)

Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations (EVANGELISM),

baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (FELLOWSHIP),

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (DISCIPLESHIP)

Matthew 28:19-20

The McNally family decided to start a church "from scratch" towing their trailer into town behind the family van in October of 1998. Over the next several months Pastor Gary knocked on approximately 1500 doors, and began to form a core group of people through Bible studies in the McNally's home. Beginning February 1999, Pinelands Community Church began holding a Sunday service once a month. Finally in September of 1999, Pinelands Community Church officially launched it’s weekly service. That first service was held at the Little Egg Harbor Intermediate School where the church continues to meet. Pinelands has continued to grow and has been forever changed by understanding God's gift of grace

Pastor Jeff Seavey assumed tenure as Senior Pastor starting September 26th, of 2010. He brings with him his wife Beth, and three boys; Caleb, Owen and Ethan.

Prior to his coming, a search ensued lasting longer than a year resulting in collectively reviewing hundreds of resumes and listening to sermons before recommending Pastor Jeff to Pinelands Community Church. The church members voted with a unanimous decision to welcome Pastor Jeff as their new leader. The members were overwhelmed with Pastor Jeff’s contagious passion for Christ and his love towards all people.

Since it's conception, Pinelands Community Church has continued to grow and has been forever changed by understanding God's gift of grace.

Pinelands owns nearly 10 acres of prime real estate, with building hopes in the future.
