Welcome to Pinelands

The McNally family decided to start a church "from scratch" towing their trailer into town behind the family van in October of 1998. Over the next several months Pastor Gary knocked on approximately 1500 doors, and began to form a core group of people through Bible studies in the McNally's home.
Beginning in February 1999, Pinelands Community Church began holding a Sunday service once a month.  Finally in September of 1999, Pinelands Community Church officially launched it’s weekly service. That first service was held at the Little Egg Harbor Intermediate School where the church continues to meet.

Pinelands is structured around five biblical purposes based on two verses from the Bible.

"...'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul

and with all your mind.' (WORSHIP)

This is the first and greatest commandment.

And the second is like it, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'" (MINISTRY)

Matthew 22:37-39

Jesus said, "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations (EVANGELISM),

baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (FELLOWSHIP),

and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (DISCIPLESHIP)

Matthew 28:19-20

Pastor Gary feeling:, "Focusing on these five principles helps us to stay balanced and healthy as a church. We desire to minimize meetings and maximize ministry.  This is especially important in a seashore community like ours that is made up largely of commuters.  People only have a certain amount of time to devote to church life and we want to help them make the most of the time they have."

Pinelands has continued to grow and no less than 100 people have been forever changed by understanding God's gift of grace.  Pinelands now has 150-170 people in worship on Sunday mornings and the church recently purchased nearly 10 acres of prime real estate, with an active building campaign in progress.
