Arcadia Nursing and Rehabilitation Center - (otherwise known as Arcadia Bingo Madness) We’ve committed to meeting Arcadia’s biggest need – help with BINGO. Every Saturday from 1:30 – 3:30 we’ll be wheeling residents to the dining hall, helping them with their games, and wheeling them back. Human interaction is very important for people in this stage of life, and God has provided this way to help meet that need. Please consider making this a part of your ministry. They are located 151 9th Ave LEH., right off Rte. 539.

Little Egg Harbor Community Center - YOUTH RECREATION NIGHT. Every Friday Evening from 6:00-8:30 pm  Volunteers needed to help with quick set-up of facility, make and serve hot dogs and drinks, and keep an eye on the children who show up to play games. We would like to offer a group of volunteers to do this one Friday every month.

Worship and Pet Therapy at Seacrest -  We had our first of these events on Thursday, March 28th after being snowed out in February. What a blast! We’ve decided to go onto the Alzheimers floor at the request of Lisa & Steve Rivera who work there. Both the residents and workers were moved by the Lord’s presence through the music and we were touched as well. Scott Taaffe brought Callie, who was a blessing to the residents as well. We have gone again since and each time it is a blessing to both us and the residence. We will announce each time we will be going so watch for the date!

Southern Ocean County Hospital - Variable days, times and volunteer ministry opportunities. There are an abundance of ministry opportunity needs at SOCH including gift shop, transportation to and from hospital, information desk, and family resource center among others. We would love to sign on as a group and have them use us where needed.

Seacrest Village Nursing and Rehabilitation - Here Just come in and say you'd like to pay a visit to some of their residents. Apparently they have clients that do not get many visitors and would love someone to spent a few minutes chatting, reading, listening. You will find them at 1001 Center Street, LEH.

CROCHET LAP BLANKETS - Doreen LaSala has volunteered her services to teach people this art to all interested parties for the purpose of making lap blankets and other needed items for shut-ins and those in nursing homes. It is a very nice skill to have and is always appreciated by those receiving these labors of love. The church will provide the needed materials to make the items.

WOODWORKING WITH KIDS - This is a ‘trial balloon’ to gauge interest in this sort of project. We would put together a small woodworking project, most likely a birdhouse, and offer our services and materials to Tuckerton or LEHT to show kids in the community how to make one. This is based on a similar program that annually takes place in Eagleswood Township.

Local Elementary Schools - SCHOOL MENTORING PROGRAM. We are thrilled to announce that Pinelands will be sending several new people into this important community project. This will be continuing again next fall.

What's New

COMMUNITY CLEAN-UP - Little Egg Harbor Township has asked for our help on a cleanup project on an unspecified Saturday in the fall. We will be helping paint over some graffiti and generally clean up the town. More information to come.

Watch for more opportunities as they make themselves available
