International Evangelism Opportunities:

Operation Christmas Child: Each November, Pinelands Community Church sponsors its annual Operation Christmas Child shoe box drive. Once the boxes are filled with needed items, they will be delivered to children around the world who have suffered needlessly. Invite your workplace, children's school, friends, and Small Group to participate. Operation Christmas Child sends a message of hope to children in desperate situations around the world through gift-filled shoe-boxes and Christian literature. This program provides and opportunity for individuals of all ages to be involved in a simple, hands-on missions project that reaches out to suffering children all over the world.

Compassion Child: Sponsorship allows Americans to connect with a child in another country through financial support and regular communication. The children at Pinelands sponsor their own child.

Reaching Beyond Ourselves - there is something about god's reach to us that compels us to reach beyond our own needs, wants and desires to other.

To Share the Good News - What separates us from secular humanitarian agencies is that we are to share the "gospel", of the new life that is only possible through Jesus Christ.

God's Love - In all we do, we show love. And in showing love, we become living representatives of God for a world that desperately needs what only He can provide.

Our evangelistic effort is both local and international.

LOCAL EVANGELISM:

Take C.L.A.S.S. 401 to:

Learn to develop and share your testimony. Begin to share your faith conversationally with your friends. Discover how you can become part of God's work in the world.

Opportunities: Door-knocking. Each Easter, Christmas, and prior to special Friendship Sundays, a team of people from Pinelands hits the streets to let our community know that we are in town. The brave-hearted knock on doors and invite neighbors to join us at our upcoming special service.

Our Missionaries:

In 2003, a team of 17 people from Pinelands went to Nicaragua to help build a church there. They had many opportunities to share their faith as they led a Vacation Bible School for kids, and visited hospitals and prisons. We now support Pastor Rigo and his family as he heads up the work there. And this summer ( 2008) members from our youth group lead by youth group Pastor Steve Carvalho along with a group from Boson participated in street evangelism. A new and awesome experience for all who went.
